This project involved the full transformation of a six-bedroom HMO into a beautifully designed four-bedroom family home, complete with three bathrooms and a ground floor WC. The brief was to create a cohesive, contemporary living space that maximised natural light, improved flow, and elevated the overall quality of the home.

The reconfiguration focused on reducing the number of bedrooms to allow for more generous living spaces, resulting in a well-balanced layout tailored for modern family life. Each room was carefully considered to enhance both functionality and comfort, with an emphasis on open-plan living and seamless transitions between spaces.

A side infill extension was introduced, featuring full-width glazing to flood the interior with natural light and visually connect the home to the outdoors. To the rear, a striking extension was added with full-width, full-height Crittall-style bifold doors, creating a dramatic opening onto the garden and reinforcing the indoor-outdoor living experience.

To maintain a consistent design language throughout the property, internal Crittall-style steel doors were installed to separate the living room from the boot room. These elements not only enhance the aesthetic but also improve the flow of light between rooms, creating a sense of continuity and openness across the home.
